Jacob DeShazer (Page 2)

Jacob DeShazer (1912-2008) a farm boy from Oregon, joined the army Air Corps at age 27. He had always wanted to be a pilot, but when he did not qualify, an opportunity opened to become a bombardier. Jacob was one of the 80 men who participated in the famous Doolittle Raid over Japan shortly after the bombing of Pearl Harbor.  When his plane ran out of fuel they landed in enemy territory.  Jacob was a P.O.W. in Japan over 3 years.  After his rescue – he spent his life loving the Japanese people and sharing the Gospel.  His life is the story of forgiveness.
