Legacy of the Saints for the 15th century
John Huss – (Jan Hus) would become a hero to Martin Luther and many other Reformers, for he preached key Reformation themes (like hostility to indulgences) a century before Luther drew up his 95 Theses. But many also looked to Huss’s life, in particular for his steadfast commitment in the face of the church’s cunning brutality. He was burned at the stake for heresy against the doctrines of the Roman Catholic Church.
