William Borden (Page 2)

William Borden (1887-1914) was heir to a family fortune, the Yale graduate instead devoted his life to Christ, pledged in service to the Muslims of China. Before he could reach his destination in China, he contracted spinal meningitis and died at the age of 25.  When the news of his death was cabled back to the U.S., the story was carried by nearly every American newspaper. “A wave of sorrow went round the world . . . Borden not only gave (away) his wealth, but himself, in a way so joyous and natural that it (seemed) a privilege rather than a sacrifice.”

I enjoy reading about others who have lived the Christian Life to their fullest. One day in heaven, I will meet with all who are there. I just hope that my life can give some sort of witness, as did theres.
