What is your purpose?

What is your purpose?

Why do we exist?

It’s a question everyone asks, and the answer will determine the life we live today, and every day.

Solomon (the wisest man who ever lived) understood what the purpose of man was when he wrote Ecclesiastes 12:13 “The end of the matter; all has been heard. Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man.”

The Westminster Shorter Catechism question 1 asks, “What is the chief end of man?” According to Scripture, God made us for this chief end: To glorify Him (Ps. 86; Is. 60:21; Rom. 11:36; 1 Cor. 6:20; 10:31; Rev. 4:11) and enjoy Him forever. The best place to start is with the One who made us God.
