Developing Christian Character
What characterizes Christians? The apostle Paul tells us: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Gal. 5:22-23). It is through the Spirit that we develop these traits, grow in grace, and glorify God. Dr. R.C. Sproul explores these qualities and the transforming power they evidence..
This study is broken into 12 sections and walks us through the journey toward genuine spiritual growth. Are you struggling with sin? Not satisfied with where you are in your sanctification? Do you become frustrated at times when you consider where you are in your spiritual growth? Dr. Sproul considers and examines what to expect in the very first section: “The Struggle For Spiritual Growth.”
Once a month we gather collectively at the church to watch a 25 minute video and fellowship. The next three weeks back with our home groups, each leader refreshes us in summary from the video and opens up a more in depth discussion guiding us through the biblical foundation of what we are learning..
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God. That you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
